Melissa studied mortuary science at Vincennes University. Following her studies, she worked at financial institutions for 12 years. Deciding she wanted to pursue a career in the medical arena, she attended Med Tech College in 2006 and graduated with a degree in Medical Assisting. She became certified in 2008. Melissa did her Medical Assisting Program externship at Indiana Health Group (IHG) in 2007 and was then employed by IHG. Shortly thereafter she began working with Dr. Waldo.

Melissa is trained to conduct reviews of ammonia, catacholamine, molybdenum and thyroid labs, to develop treatment plans based on lab results.
Working with Dr. Waldo since 2007, Melissa has gained an in-depth knowledge of his unique, scientific approach including biochemical malfunctions, inflammation, pathogens, environmental toxins, hormonal and gastrointestinal issues, methylation, and genetics. She is well versed in ozone therapy, the utilization of chelation, and the employment of supplements to aid the body’s healing process.

Mandy has been a Medical Assistant for the last 20 years. She spent 13 years at a multi-disciplinary clinic that included Chiropractors, Medical Doctors, Physical Therapists and Massage Therapists, and for the last almost 9 years she has been in Holistic/Functional Medicine.
Mandy is married, with two beautiful daughters, and has loved living in Fishers for the past 15 years. In her downtime, she loves to read, work out, spend time outside (but only when it’s warm!) and learn all she can about helping the body heal itself, whether through functional medicine, energy healing, stress relief, etc.
The two best parts of her job, in her opinion, would be 1) that she still learns something new about functional medicine every single day, and 2) that she has the absolute joy of watching our patients truly GET BETTER. She loves that we assist the body in healing itself of all illness and dis-ease, as opposed to just covering up symptoms with a medication.
“I can honestly say that I really LOVE what I do!”
